Minute Maid Redesign 🍊

Minute Maid: A Modern Spin on an Old Classic

My idea for this project was to redesign the small Minute Maid Orange Juice carton that they used to give out at fast-food chains like Jack-in-the-Box. When I was a kid, I obviously thought nothing of it, but as I got older and developed more of an eye for design, I began thinking the packaging was a little outdated. That being said, with this redesign, I aimed to put a fresh, minimal spin on the original, while still keeping the main components of the original design. Below is the progression of the front panel where I gradually began to add more components to the oranges as well as fix some of the smaller details like spacing and sizing.

My initial brainstorm kind of shows what kind of vibe I was going for. I wanted to keep the serif font style, as well as the orange slice and leaves that the original box has. But I wanted the color palette to be brighter and the design to overall be more minimal.

The result is a bright, clean design, closer to styles that I have recently seen many larger corporations trying to emulate.
